Four tries to arrange a meeting with his brother, but the Emperor's guards greet him instead. One stews over the revelation that he came on board to avenge his wife's murder. Meanwhile, Five confronts Six about his distancing himself from her.

Quick Reviews

• Kris: As a whole, I didn’t particularly care for this episode. It did have some moments that I really enjoyed, though. I thought the main story of Four and his flashbacks was a little redundant. Maybe there’ll end up being a reason for it, but right now it didn’t feel like enough new information. That said, I liked all the scenes with Five, Six, or the Android.
• Stephanie: While there were scenes and moments that I liked, I found this episode to be exceedingly dull. Clearly, they wanted this episode to try to explore character dynamics and THEMES OF THE SHOW, but there was way too much walking and talking, and sitting and talking, and standing and talking in one episode. There needed to be a more dynamic A plot to provide some structure and forward momentum to all the talking.
• Annie: There were moments I enjoyed, (Android, Five and Three has really grown on me!) but overall this episode was subpar. I found the Four flashback scenes dull and unnecessary. I can’t stand One and his sudden need for vengeance, when he’s the one who keep preaching about starting over. I think his need to kill Three is based more on his current feelings of not liking/trusting him since he lost his memories versus what he can’t remember about his wife.

Notable Elements

• For a guy who supposedly lost all his memories, Four suddenly seems to remember A LOT about his past and personal dynamics with people who should be near strangers to him.
• Also, two lines struck Stephanie as just flat out wrong. Four references someone being dead in the snow, but there was no snow on the ground. And One says Four killed an unarmed man — while Four killing his mentor was shocking, he was NOT unarmed. Dude had a sword with which he was clearly very skilled.
• One tells Two about what he discovered when he Googled himself.
• One almost shot Three.
• Two is still keeping her secret.
• Six and Five make up, though Six made it very clear to Five that he thinks she would be better off not keeping the company of the crew.
• Two and Three narrow down the list of suspects of who wiped their memories to One, Two, and Three.

In which Stephanie pretends that Three has a crush on One for her own amusement

• Three is clearly upset that Two and One…got friendly. I think that’s also why he was depressed and didn’t want to leave the ship at the beginning of last week’s episode.
• One gave Three a children’s book. Possibly his FAVORITE children’s book. And it made Three cry.
• There was wrestling. Three was on top. All I’m gonna say.

Stuff that Made Us Happy

• Five’s goggles (and generally being adorable)
• Three reading Charlotte’s Web (and crying)
• Android describing her feelings as “Weird” and referring to them as a flaw in her programming
• Android appreciating Three not wanting to start over with another android
• Five popping up out of nowhere when Six is working out, Five wanting Six to train her
• Six apologizing to Five
• Six saying that he needs to hate the General for a while so that he’ll have someone to hate besides himself
• Four smiling when Two says that he is needed on the ship

• Why do we think Two is keeping her secret? She’s talking an awful lot about being honest.
