With D'avin and Jaq on the run, Dutch and Johnny hunt the answer to Khlyen's memory clue. An awkward Jaqobis homecoming takes a deadly turn as Dutch and Zeph risk everything for science.
Quick Reviews
Kris: I liked episode eight, but I REALLY liked episode seven. As I’ve said before, I really like Killjoys’ “mythology” episodes, so I’m super into finding out about Aneela’s (and Dutch’s, kind of) mother! I also loved Pree and Gared’s scenes. And Turin and Weej! And Johnny and Lucy! I liked that we had an episode finding out about Dutch’s family followed by an episode where we learn about the Jaqobis brothers. I also appreciate that we had two episodes where Dutch gets called out about some of her issues, and that they didn’t do it in a way that felt mean. If anything, it felt like it was genuinely out of love.
Annie: I loved 4×07! It was fascinating to see the relationship between Khlyen and Yalena – a softer side of Khlyen. I do wish Yalena could have stuck around longer to fight alongside Dutch and the gang. This episode had some of the best witty dialogue and pairings with Lucy and John, Pree and Gared – and can I say how much I ship Tweej?! “You are my guys!” is my new jam!
4×08 was okay, although I feel the whole Jaqobis family dynamic has been explored before. I really loved the crazy mission Dutch and Zeph went on. Zeph continues to amaze me with her science-y brain powers of deduction! And Zeph’s talk with Dutch was a great scene. It’s heartening to see someone besides Johnny give Dutch some insight on what she means to them.
