We reveal some of our Lost Girl “favorites,” including our favorite season, favorite female and male characters, and favorite episodes from Seasons 1 through 4. This episode is a compilation of several short episodes we produced as part of our 30 Days of Lost Girl series in which we answered a bunch of questions about Lost Girl. SPOILER WARNING: Answers may contain spoilers for up through the end of Season 4.

Day 1: Favorite season?

• Kris: Season 2 — There’s quite a variety of episodes, style-wise. Plus, there’s an extra 9 episodes.
• Stephanie: Season 2 — For lack of a better phrase, the show is at its Buffy-est. It’s all emotional and high stakes and tough choices, but there’s still a lot of humor.
• Annie: Season 3 — Honestly, I don't have a favorite season. Just all the Doccubus moments — good, bad, sexy, gut wrenching, etc. But if I had to pick, season 3 would be my favorite. While the Wanderer story and the Taft plot weren’t my favorites, I loved Bo and Lauren’s attempt at a real relationship, despite all the Fae/human divide as well as all the communication issues they have. Also, it’s the first season I watched in real time, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Day 2: Favorite female character?

• Annie: Lauren — she’s got incredible strength through everything the Fae and her life have thrown at her. But it’s a quiet, unassuming strength. She’s a survivor, a genius, a lover and so much more! The character’s transformed from a meek, obedient doctor to a woman who’s learned how to reclaim her power as a human in a Fae world.
• Kris: Bo — I like that she’s trying to figure stuff out. I like that she’s compassionate and genuinely wants to help people. I like that she walks around with a knife in a holster on her thigh like it’s no big deal.
• Stephanie: Bo — It’s a tough choice, but I think I have to go with Bo. Yes, she’s not perfect and she makes mistakes, but when I’m with Bo, I’m with her.

Day 3: Favorite male character?

• Stephanie: Hale — Even though he started out as a bit of gross dude-bro, his family background, his growing affection for Kenzi, and his idealism really won me over.
• Kris: Dyson — I think Dyson almost always means well, even though he does some really dumb things. (Which, let’s be honest, is true of most of the characters.) I especially love the friendships that he’s formed with the characters over the course of the show.
• Annie: Dyson — While his tendency to rush into situations headfirst and to always protect the women in his life can be irritating, he has a really good heart behind his intentions most of the time. He is loyal and noble. I really love how his relationships with the humans have blossomed in the last season.

Day 4: Favorite fae, singular or species?

• Kris: The Baku — He heals people with HUGS. What could possibly be better than that?!
• Annie: A Brownie — I need one!!
• Stephanie: Siren — I think Hale’s powers are so cool. And so versatile!

Day 5: Favorite episode of Season 1?

• Annie: “Food for Thought” — Love seeing the first time Bo and Lauren team up together and Lauren getting out of her comfort zone. Also love seeing the beginning of Dyson and Kenzi’s friendship and Bo’s love/concern for Kenzi that will drive her to do anything to find the cure.
• Stephanie: “Food for Thought” — I feel like we get to know the characters in a new way in this episode through Bo and Lauren teaming up together and Dyson and Trick caring for a sick Kenzi.
• Kris: “Vexed” — Even though it’s slightly different in tone to the rest of the series (and I like the tone of the rest of the series), it’s beautifully shot. Yay, John Fawcett! There are plenty of important plot developments and reveals, too.

Day 6: Favorite episode of Season 2?

• Stephanie: “I Fought the Fae (and the Fae Won)” — I love getting to see the ritual of the political side of the Fae. I'm very interested in their political structure. Plus, I like that Bo's all determined and verging on ragey because Dyson dumped her.
• Annie: “Death Didn’t Become Him” — I love the Lich! Such an overdramatic Fae villain of the week! The B plot which has all the Hale/Kenzi friendship overtones — and Hale’s abs! And Doccubus on the case again. The first time we saw Bo go blue nova — and the fact that it was Lauren’s life on the line that made her go there. And Doccubus kisses!
• Kris: “Death Didn’t Become Him” — An effectively creepy villain doing something(s) truly horrifying. And Bo gets really impressive and scary when she goes super/possessed for the first time. Plus, you can’t lose with Kenzi “babysitting.”

Day 7: Favorite episode of Season 3?

• Kris: “There’s Bo Place Like Home” — I had a hard time choosing, but I have to go with this one for its emotional resonance. In a season that was about Bo having to come to terms with who and what she is, this is the episode that really explored her upbringing. Plus, Bo got some closure that she’d desperately needed for the past 12 years.
• Annie: “Fae-de to Black” — That opening scene. Besides the Doccubus-y, sexy hotness, I can’t believe that scene made it onto television! It didn’t push the envelope with on screen (almost) nudity, it destroyed it! Such gorgeous lighting and editing! Plus I love seeing Bo as a marriage counselor, especially in the scene with the gay couple — it never fails to make me laugh. And Bo and Lauren trying to be honest and maintain their physically impossible fae/human relationship — that last scene was the first time I cried watching Lost Girl. And it proves that chemistry and stellar acting exist in genres shows.
• Stephanie: “Confaegion” — This episode is oodles of comedic fun. Teen Bo “rawr”-ing at Lauren is probably one of my favorite scenes of the entire series.

Day 8: Favorite episode of Season 4?

• Annie: “Dark Horse” — Although the remnants of the Rainer story are annoying (has the audience ever been so happy to see a character die??) this episode is everything I love about Lost Girl. The big bad, Bo on the quest to save her friends and those she loves, the classic Doccubus finale kiss — and the sequences where Kenzi sacrifices herself and Bo at her grave. Perfect editing, direction, music and of course acting. Made me outright ‘effing bawl!
• Kris: “Dark Horse” — While I’m not as emotional about it as Annie, I do think this episode resolved a lot of things that needed resolving. Most importantly, Bo felt more like Bo in this episode than she had the rest of the season. Dyson declared fealty to Bo and didn’t make it about mating. Lauren finally talked to Bo about what she’d been doing. Kenzi realized just how important she is.
• Stephanie: “Groundhog Fae” — Another episode that’s just tons of fun. Drunk Lauren, Dyson, and Vex are a fantastic trio, and amongst all the humor we get some emotional vulnerability from several characters, including Bo and Tamsin.
