After Lucy tells her about Kira's actions, Eleanor tries to be honest with Lucas, who does not take the information well. Jules makes another attempt to escape the compound and decides that the printouts need to send a message to Mr. Darros. Kira discovers some unsettling videos on Josh's laptop and decides to contact Emily for help, but should Kira trust her?
Kira
- Kira is really confronted with the consequences of her actions in this episode, but it somehow seems like a relief as well?
- While not agreeing with Kira's actions, Stephanie can understand both Kira and Eleanor's perspectives on the situation.
- Kira marked Eleanor's grave with a stone engraved with lovebirds.
- Josh's (cat-themed) laptop seems to have some clues to Darros's “launch day,” but is Kira wrongly putting her trust in Emily (the suit)?
Lucy and Eleanor
- Lucy returned in a rare form in this episode. Creepy, therapist-threatening Lucy is kind of fun?!? It was guiltily satisfying to see Dr. Teller be dealt a little violence.
- She helps drive the plot in this episode, urging Kira to keep going and connecting the printouts with each other. Lucy is like the printout doula, helping Eleanor through her first hours knowing about her origins.
- Once again, we’re seeing a push for total honesty from both of them. Which makes Kris wonder about Eleanor Prime’s resistance to telling Lucas anything when she started showing symptoms of Alzheimer’s.
- Lucy asks Eleanor about her and Jules's memory of the blood in the bathroom. Did Eleanor tell Lucy the entire story? (Seems unlikely.)
Jules
- Darros is still trying to get Xander to get Jules to want to stay at his compound (creepy).
- Xander argues that printouts might not be much different than technologies such as in vitro fertilization and surrogacy.
- Jules is resourceful and, for some reason, still has the dream trip drug nasal spray! Lucky!
- She did everything in this episode that we thought she would have done in the previous episode, cutting the power to the whole facility and stealing the strange tech, even though Xander told her not to touch it. And she was sassy to Xander. Love it!
- Unfortunately, Tom and his punchable face are after her.
- Kris loves that she called Craig! (We can trust Craig, right? He seems so cool! Don't let us down, Craig!)
Darros and Xander
- Darros is such a prick, negging Xander about him being ready and able to take on Darros's legacy.
- This is perhaps emphasizing the idea that Darros is trying to “raise” Xander the way he was raised, since he seems to want to perfectly recreate himself.
- What’s with Xander’s dream trip sister? (To whom Darros was singing “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel) Her necklace was one of the symbols we saw on the tech that Jules stole.
- Does Xander not have complete memories?
- Why does Darros want Jules and Lucy so much?
