Feeling useless as a part of Clone Club, Alison tries to regain a sense of normalcy at a community event. Pushed out of her usual role of coordinator at the fair, she runs into Aynsley’s husband Chad. Confronted again with her grief and guilt about Aynsley death, Alison falls back on old habits. Meanwhile, Rachel tries to pressure Donnie into revealing Helena’s location by sending the police to search the Hendrixes’ house in connection with Pouchy’s death. Kris and Stephanie discuss episode 3 of season 5 of Orphan Black, “Beneath Her Heart.”
Sarah reaches out to MK to create a plan to escape from Neolution’s clutches and keep Kira away from Rachel. However, Kira isn’t so sure that she wants to run. Meanwhile, Helena learns that her unborn children seem to have similar healing abilities as Kira, and Cosima gets to meet P.T. Westmoreland. Kris and Stephanie discuss episode 5×02 of Orphan Black, “Clutch of Greed.”
An injured Sarah manages to make contact with Felix to tell them about Rachel’s betrayal and then tries to make her way to Cosima while evading potential captors and a mysterious something that lives in the woods. Reunited with Delphine, Cosima learns what she can about the village on the island and its purpose. Kris and Stephanie discuss the Season 5 premiere of Orphan Black, “The Few Who Dare.”
Kris joins hosts from The Orphan Black Podcast by Solo Talk Media, Felix’s Helixes, 324B21: The Orphan Black Podcast, and The C Word Podcast, as well as our moderator, Kevin Bachelder, to talk a little about Season 4 and discuss the possibilities for Season 5.
Kris and Stephanie discuss the Lena Luthor highlights of episode 2×19 “Alex,” including phone calls, trickery, and regret. This podcast episode contains ludicrous luxuriating in Lena Luthor and her (non-canonical) love of Kara. More typical episode discussion is still to come.
Kris and Stephanie discuss what worked and what didn’t work for them in episodes 2×14 through 2×17 of Supergirl, as well as the musical crossover episode of The Flash, “Duet.” We have a lot of love for 2×15 “Exodus” as well as Kara and Barry’s musical team-up, but not so much for a particular Daxamite’s storyline. We also recommend a couple of Supergirl fanfics at the end of the episode.
Stephanie and Kris are joined by Dr. Elizabeth Coody (she’s a doctor of comics! kinda!) to talk about comic books that might be of interest to Orphan Black fans, including some titles that are related to specific characters.
Kris, Stephanie, and Annie discuss “Supergirl Lives” and revisit the first eight episodes of Season 2 of Supergirl to mention some things they forgot to discuss previously. Kris also has some potentially explosive Lena Luthor revelations.
Kris, Annie, and Stephanie discuss episode 8 of Supergirl’s Season Two as well as the “Heroes v Aliens” crossover event with Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. While we were thankful for the somewhat emotional (and homoerotic — Hi, Lena!) “Medusa,” the first DC crossover event featuring Supergirl left us wanting, well, more Supergirl.
Kris and Stephanie discuss Season Two of Supergirl. Kara tries to help Mon-El acclimate to living on Earth with mixed results, while James and Winn team up to take down criminals in National City. Alex struggles with her feelings for Maggie, and J’onn learns upsetting news about M’gann.
