The Helsinki series of Orphan Black comics reveals the incident that established the “Helsinki protocol,” which was referenced in Season 3 of the series. We discuss the context we have for the storyline from both the series and the first run of comics, and how Helsinki give us new context for what we’ve seen on the series.

Stephanie and Kris are joined by Dr. Elizabeth Coody (she’s a doctor of comics! kinda!) to talk about comic books that might be of interest to Orphan Black fans, including some titles that are related to specific characters.

Cosima and Susan make a breakthrough that looks promising for a cure but also promising for Susan to start creating clones again. With that news, Rachel makes a power play, and with Krystal’s help Sarah has to put the pieces together in time to try to stop Rachel and help Cosima. Kris and Stephanie discuss the Orphan Black fourth season finale.

Meanwhile, Donnie gets out of jail, and Alison suggests that they leave town. Felix struggles to keep Adele in the dark in regards to the clones. When MK makes contact again with information about Susan and Rachel, Cosima asks her to put them in contact with the Duncans to discuss working on a cure for the clone disease. Alison is approached with an ultimatum from Duko, who is in Mrs. S’s cross hairs. Kris and Stephanie discuss the eighth episode of season 4 of Orphan Black.

Everyone is grieving after Kendall Malone’s death, and Sarah and Cosima seem to be at the end of their ropes. Susan prepares for a regime change in Neolution, and Rachel gets frank with Charlotte. Kris and Stephanie discuss the seventh episode of Season 4 of Orphan Black.

With their options limited, Sarah and Cosima agree to a trade with Susan Duncan: Kendall’s genetic material for the removal of the maggot bot in Sarah’s cheek. Meanwhile, Art and Felix run interference when Krystal shows up at the police station. Kris and Stephanie discuss the sixth episode of the fourth season of Orphan Black.
