In this episode, Kris and Stephanie first offer some nonspoilery talk about why and what they like about the fanfic. Then they delve into spoilery discussion of different elements and plot points in the story.
Supergirl: Supercorp Subtext (3×05 “Damage”) — Episode 44
Lena Luthor is accused of inadvertently poisoning children with her lead diffusion device, but Kara Danvers, whom she loves and who loves her, believes in her so much that Kara won’t accept that Lena could have even accidentally done such a thing. Also, Sam might be up for that threesome Lena seemed to be angling for? We’re not sure, but we think some wires got crossed, instead of, ahem, other things at the end of the episode. Supergirl: Supercorp Subtext (3×04 “The Faithful”) — Episode 43
Things seem to be getting (secretly) serious between Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor! Supergirl: Season 2 Discussion (2×18-2×22) — Episode 38
Supergirl’s second season has come to an end, and we discuss what worked and didn’t work for us in the final five episodes. Here’s the scoop: we really enjoyed “Ace Reporter” as well as the wonderfully different and complex older female characters who were around at the end of the season. Unfortunately, we cannot get behind the writers’ attempt to transform Mon-El into a hero, and we are disappointed that so many characters played by people of color seemed to be shuffled to the side to make room for his storyline.
Supergirl: Let’s Talk Lena! (2×22 “Nevertheless She Persisted”) — Episode 37
Lena Luthor knows how to deal with those pesky Daxamites. For that, and many other reasons, we love her. Kris and Stephanie share their appreciation for Lena’s engineering accomplishments in the Supergirl Season 2 finale, as well as offer some suggestions to Kara regarding with whom and how she might spend her time now.
